Developing a Strategy and Design

  • Develop a supply chain strategy that aligns with your business strategy

  • Build upon the strategy and design the supply chain by:

    • Identifying customer and business requirements

    • Performing gap analysis between current & future state

    • Close the gaps by:

      1. Analyzing supplier choice, distribution channels, location and capacity of plants, warehouses and distribution centers

      2. Reviewing data acquisition and management methods and tools

      3. Exploring technology solutions such as: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)


Implementing the Strategy and Design

  • Implement the strategy and design by:

    • Developing supply chain infrastructure

    • Identifying logistical requirements and assessing logistical capabilities

    • Exploring the use of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) 

    • Collaborate in a comprehensive review of:

      1. Currency considerations and funds flow

      2. Regulatory requirements (Incoterms, Customs, Bills of Lading, Security Regulation considerations, etc.)

      3. Trade considerations (Free trade zones, Trading blocs)

      4. Demand Management, Supply Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Logistics and Freight Management

    • Advise on reverse logistics including return, recall, and end of life
